Once Baba Bulleh Shah was sitting on bank of river when he saw this lady selling carrots. People were coming to buy it, but when they start picking and choosing she would say "I only sell carrots in volumes there is no pick and choose".

So all these people had to buy carrots in volumes/in bulk. Then there was this beautiful man, who came to her to get carrots, but this time she herself picked the best carrots for him ! Bulleh shah was quite surprised looking at the incident so after this men had left Bulleh shah asked her how come you let only him to hand pick the carrots, in fact you picked and choose carrots for him yourself.

She replied, Bulleh Shah ji, he is my husband, there is no counting/accounts between lovers. This made Bullah Shah realize, what's the point of carrying a rosary. He put it away and asked himself, Bullah are you insane? Why are you doing counting with your beloved? Why count what Waheguru has given me ?
How many times have I done simran or went to Gurudwara, or how much money did I gave for charity and then brag about the same etc ? *Make good deeds the soil, and let the Word of the Shabad be the seed; irrigate it continually with the water of Truth. * *Become such a farmer, and faith will sprout.
This brings knowledge of heaven and hell, you fool! 1 * *Do not think that your Husband Lord can be obtained by mere words. * *You are wasting this life in the pride of wealth and the splendor of beauty. 1Pause * *- Guru *

Have a SHAY day!! - A story which made me cry

An email send by a friend of mine... It really touched my heart.. Please read it

Two Choices

What would you do?....you make the choice. Don'tlook for a punch line, there isn't one. Read itanyway. My question is: Would you have made thesame choice? At a fund raising dinner for a school that serveslearning-disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never beforgotten by all who attended.

After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered aquestion: "When not interfered with by outsideinfluences, everything nature does is done withperfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn thingsas other children do. He cannot understand thingsas other children do. Where is the natural order ofthings in my son?"

The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. "I believe, that when a childlike Shay, physically and mentally handicappedcomes into the world, an opportunity to realizetrue human nature presents itself, and it comes inthe way other people treat that child."Then he told the following story: Shay and his father had walked past a park wheresome boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shayasked, "Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed toplay, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

Shay's father approached one of the boys on thefield and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said,"We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning."Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, witha broad smile, put on a team shirt. His Father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart.

The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning,Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hitwas all but impossible because Shay didn't evenknow how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay'slife, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily andmissed. The pitcher again took a few step sforward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball an dhit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.

Shay would have been out and that would havebeen the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands andboth teams started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in his life had Shay everrun that far, but he made it to first base. Hes campered down the baseline, wide-eyed andstartled. Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run tosecond!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardlyran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.

He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over thethird-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay"Shay reached third base because the opposing short stop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third!"As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming,"Shay, run home! Run home!" Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for histeam.

"That day", said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, "the boys from both team shelped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world".Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her littlehero of the day!AND NOW A LITTLE FOOTNOTE TO THIS STORY:

We all send thousands of jokes throughthe e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people hesitate. The crude, vulgar, and ofte no bscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces. If you're thinking about forwarding this message, chances are that you're probably sorting out thepeople in your address book who aren't the"appropriate" ones to receive this type of message.Well, the person who sent you this believes that we all can make a difference. We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to helprealize the "natural order of things." So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice: Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up those opportunities and leave the world a little bit colder in the process? A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them. You now have two choices:

1. Delete

2. Forward

May your day, be a Shay Day

A Nice Read....

He was tired and aching and on his way home from a long day at work, so he almost didn't see the old lady stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day he could see she needed help.

So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His old Pontiac was still sputtering as he approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson. Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two.

Soon he was able to change the tire.As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid. Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owedhim. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imaginedall the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryannever thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given hima hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it neveroccurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, "Pass it on."He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight. A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant.

Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan .. After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: This isn't a tip, it's a gift. You don't owe me anything. Somebody once helped me out if you feel you want to pay me back, don't let this chain of love end with you, pass it on." Under the napkin were four more $100 bills. Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it to closing time.

That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a gentle kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson."

There is an old saying "What goes around comes around." Today I'm sharing you this story, and I am asking you to pass it on. Let this light keep shining Good friends are like stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Micheal Jackson vs Mr Singh

Watch this clip and see what happens in the middle of the show... Simply havoc

Is this the only surviving photograph of Maharaja Ranjit Singh?

In 1991 Des Pardes, the popular Punjabi language newspaper published this photograph and identified it as a genuine photograph of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (seated centre), his general Hari Singh Nalwa (standing second from left) and Fakir Nur-u-din (Standing second from the right), one of the Maharaja’s three Muslim ministers of state.

The photographs was found by the British based historian Dr CS Chan and immediately caused a major stir. Today, a copy of this photograph takes pride of place at Bangla Sahib gurdwara in Delhi and is to be found at the Samadhi of Ranjit Singh in Lahore. Was this a major historical find? Was this the only glimpse of some of the most important characters in Sikh history at that vital meeting of the Maharaja and Lord William Bentick at Ropur in 1809?or was it a fake?

This is just one of the hundreds of historical Sikh photographs that historian Parmjit Singh, co-author of “Warrior Saints” and “Sicques, Tigers or Thieves” presents during a lavishly illustrated video lecture on UKPHA’s new Punjab Heritage Lectures website on www.punjabheritagelectures.org .

Parmjit’s authoritative expose of this photograph and many others makes this talk one of the highlights of the series which also includes the journalist and author Christy Campbell narrating the tragic story of Maharaj Duleep Singh.

How I Made $491 Profit in 1 hour by Reselling Domain Names

I was really pleased with my adventures into domain brokering last week. It's made me appreciate that even if there are thousands of other people trying to make money online in the same way as us, very few of them really know what they are doing. With just a small amount of money you can profit from buying an easy-to-remember domain name and then selling it on at a (much) higher price.

Typically it costs less than $10 to register your own '.com' domain name. You may have heard stories of people who've sold domain names for millions of dollars but these occasions are now quite rare. What is realistic however is to buy a domain name for $10 and to sell it for a few hundred dollars if you do your research correctly.

Most domain bounty-hunters approach this business wrong. They search the internet for keywords in the hope of finding an overlooked domain that is still for sale. This kind of strategy may have worked 10 years ago but it's now possible to feed an entire dictionary into domain search engines, so all the obvious keywords are long gone. You will be competing with far too many people if you try this traditional strategy.

You MAY strike it lucky and discover a much-forgotten website name that's been overlooked but I seriously doubt it. Most likely you'll end up bored and disheartened before then and there is a better strategy to use.Rather than try your luck with this kind of hit-and-miss approach, you can make money in a way nobody else is doing. My idea is to search for available domain names first, and then look for a use of them afterwards.

This is a great way of finding a domain that your competitors have overlooked. The niche I choose to work with is to use some domain hunting software and to get it to check for every 4-digit domain name that is available to buy. Using this software and spending some time doing Google web searches allows me to hunt down some uses for the domain names. A more advance strategy that I've used beyond that is to cross-reference all 4-digit domain names with ticker symbols of listed companies.

I consider that these domains may become prime internet real estate in the future.I tried my strategy on one website last week using some domain hunting software. In less than one hour's work I'd discovered a domain, found a legitimate use for the domain and sold it for $491 profit. It's success stories like this that make me realize just how much opportunity this system has.I find more than one potential customer for any domains I register.
If I can do this then I can email a number of different people and companies in the hope that at least one will be interested in buying the domain from me.Try not to get excited and buy too many domains at once. To begin with I suggest buying no more than 10 domains. You might be delighted with the domains you've found but you may find that other people are just not interested in buying them. If you can buy 10 domains and sell just one for $100 (should be reasonably simple) then you have 9 domains that have effectively paid for themselves. Any more domains you sell can be sold for pure profit.

Any domains you fail to sell after 12 months will either be lost, or will cost you a further 12-month registration fee.

I wish you all good luck with any venture you undertake.

Sikhs pride of FBI

Today’s FBI: In light of 9/11, the FBI's role has expanded markedly. The Bureau not only focuses on its traditional mission of investigating violations of federal criminal law, but continues to assume a greater leadership role in protecting the United States from foreign counterintelligence and terrorist activities. Even beyond crime investigation and its post 9/11 responsibilities, the FBI continues to intensify its initiatives to reach out to, and protect from hate crimes, those ethnic populations that comprise the melting pot that is America.

Why Sikhs Wear a Turban

The dastaar, as the Sikh turban is known, is an article of faith that has been made mandatory by the founders of Sikhism. It is not to be regarded as mere cultural paraphernalia.

When a Sikh man or woman dons a turban, the turban ceases to be just a piece of cloth and becomes one and the same with the Sikh's head.
The turban as well as the other articles of faith worn by Sikhs have an immense spiritual as well as temporal significance. The symbolisms of wearing a turban are many from it being regarded as a symbol of sovereignty, dedication, self-respect, courage and piety but the reason all practicing Sikhs wear the turban is just one - out of love and obedience of the wishes of the founders of their faith.
The turban has been an integral part of the Sikh Tradition since the time of Guru Nanak Dev. Historical accounts relay to us that all Sikh Gurus wore turbans and their followers --Sikhs-- have been wearing them since the formation of the faith.

The turban serves as a mark of commitment to the Sikh Gurus. It distinguishes a Sikh as an instrument of the Guru and decrees accountability for certain spiritual and temporal duties. It is a mark of the Guru and declares that the Sikh wearing a turban is a servant of the Divine Presence.

By adorning their turbans, Sikhs serve as ambassadors of the Sikh faith and commit externally to following the path laid down by the Sikh Gurus. True submission, of course, occurs internally.
The next time you see a Sikh, greet him or her and know that the turban you see is the same turban and stood up against oppression against those identified as lower castes in India, tyranny in WWI, the Nazi empire in WWII.

As Sikhs tie their turbans each day, they should be heedful that it represents a very real commitment to the founders of the Sikh faith.

The turban is deeply intertwined with the Sikh identity and is a manifestation of the mission given to all Sikhs - to act as a divine prince or princess by standing firm against tyranny and protecting the downtrodden.

Guide to Public Speaking

Public speaking is an essential talent for building your business and advancing your career. And it need not be a nightmare

If you've got something to say, ideas to share, people to influence, or a customer base to attract, public speaking is an opportunity ripe for the taking. You might have the best products or services and a terrific track record, but if you don't or can't communicate about it with your target audiences, you're limiting your effectiveness. All too often, the very best stories in organizations and companies go untold because of people's reluctance to take the stage.

Speaking in public ranks high on the list of people's fears, and that leads to a lot of missed opportunities. Anyone who has ever been in the audience when a good speaker took the stage knows what power lies in this skill. It can change minds, inspire action, and launch and cement relationships in a way that no other form of communication can.

An audience can reach a new understanding and be motivated to follow a call to action—and to follow a person. Executives with the ability to hold the attention of others through the power of the spoken word find themselves rewarded, and their abilities and ideas acknowledged.

Time to Testify

Yet for all its power, the "public" part of public speaking gives many people pause. Even a friendly, interested audience can be a frightening prospect to some executives, who would rather let great opportunities pass them by than be judged by an audience. But every time we speak—whether to an audience of one or 100—we run the risk of being judged on whether we've got something to say worth listening to.

That's not a reason to avoid opportunity—it's the very reason to embrace it. If you believe in something and are actually behind your product or service, you should let no opportunity pass to get up and tell others about your conviction. Here's another way to look at it: Instead of thinking about the risk of being judged by 100 people (or however large your audience is), think about the chance you have to influence them.

Of all the marketing techniques your organization can invest in, speaking directly to audiences is one of the best ways to "build brand" for companies and ideas while enhancing the standing of the speaker.

Getting Started
Remember that even the best orators needed practice and training. Public speaking is a learned skill, and you will improve with time if you take the initiative. With preparation and practice, you can learn to carry an audience, strengthen relationships, and reach people you otherwise couldn't have.

How to Get Money Back When Airfares Drop

Have you ever bought an airline ticket only to see the price fall and your anger rise? Now there is something you can do about it.

Few customers realize it, but many airlines will give refunds if they cut the price after you have bought a ticket. Alaska, JetBlue, Southwest, United and US Airways all offer vouchers for the full price difference -- if the price drops $200, you can get a $200 coupon towards a future trip. Others offer vouchers, or cash, after deducting change fees (which can run up to $100). In industry jargon, it is called a "rollover," and in most cases it only works if you bought the ticket directly from the airline. (It generally won't work if you bought them via a Web site such as Expedia.com or Orbitz.com, unless the price drops in the first 24 hours.)

The rollover policies have been in place for decades, but, until recently, it has been tough for consumers to figure out when their flight's price has changed. The catch is you have to call while the lower price is in effect to get your rollover.
That is where a new Web site, Yapta.com, has come up with a clever way to take some of the anxiety out of buying airline tickets

Role Models

True role models are those who possess the qualities that we would like to have and those who have affected us in a way that makes us want to be better people. To advocate for ourselves and our goals and take leadership on the issues that we believe in. We often don't recognize our true role models until we have noticed our own personal growth and progress . . .

We live in a society that really doesn't allow one to be different . A role model DARES you and themselves to be different.
